Pro Features

UTM Manager Pro is an add-on for the free UTM Manager plugin. It installs alongside the free plugin — it doesn’t replace it — and layers extra capture, reporting, and integration features on top of the same leads and visits data you already have.

Requirements

  • The free UTM Manager plugin, installed and active. Pro will not run without it.
  • A valid Pro license key — see License Activation. Until the license is activated, Pro stays dormant and your free tracking continues exactly as before.

What Pro adds

FeatureWhat it does
Custom tracking parametersCapture any query parameter — gclid, fbclid, msclkid, ref, partner_id — not just the six standard UTM keys. Details
Reports & attributionA dedicated reports screen with selectable date ranges, a new-leads trend, and breakdowns by source, medium, campaign, country, device, browser, and each of your custom parameters. Details
Form integrationsContact Form 7 and WPForms submissions turn anonymous visitors into named leads, and CF7 mail tags inject UTM values into your notification emails. Details
WooCommerce attributionOrders carry the buyer’s UTM attribution in order meta, and revenue is tracked per lead. Details
WebhooksHMAC-signed JSON events pushed to Zapier, Make, a CRM, or your own endpoint on identify, convert, and (optionally) every hit. Details
REST APIA read-only, API-key-authenticated endpoint for querying leads and their journeys programmatically. Details
Geolocation & device dataCountry, device type, browser, and OS recorded per lead and charted in Reports.
Extended CSV exportYour custom parameters plus country, device, browser, OS, and revenue become selectable columns in the free export tool.
Privacy & retention controlsUI toggles for IP storage, a consent-cookie gate, role exclusions, and automatic deletion of old leads.

Where Pro appears in the admin

Pro doesn’t add a separate menu — it extends the one you already use:

  • UTM Manager → Reports — the new Pro reports and attribution screen.
  • UTM Manager → Settings → Pro Settings — privacy and data controls, geolocation and device capture, webhooks, and the REST API key.
  • UTM Manager → Settings → Custom Parameters — define the extra parameters to capture.
  • UTM Manager → Tools — the same CSV export, now with the Pro columns available.
  • Plugins screen — the license key field and activation buttons.

Geolocation & device enrichment

When enabled under Settings → Pro Settings → Geolocation & Device, each tracked hit is enriched with:

  • Country — read from edge headers your host or CDN already sets (CF-IPCountry from Cloudflare, X-Country-Code, GeoIP-Country-Code). No external geolocation service is called and no IP database is bundled, so country data only appears if your hosting or CDN provides one of those headers.
  • Device, browser, and OS — parsed from the user agent locally. No lookups leave your server.

Both are stored in a Pro sidecar table and are optional — untick either box to stop collecting it.

Privacy & retention controls

The free plugin exposes these as code filters; Pro gives them a UI under Settings → Pro Settings → Privacy & Data Controls (GDPR):

  • Store IP address — untick to stop storing any IP-derived data at all (the free default is a salted hash).
  • Require consent — only track once a consent cookie is present. Set the cookie name to match your banner (default utmm_consent); values yes, 1, true, allow, or granted enable tracking.
  • Data retention (days) — a daily job deletes leads (and their visits and enrichment data) not seen within the window. 0 keeps everything forever.
  • Exclude roles — tick the roles that should never be tracked, e.g. Administrator and Editor.

See Privacy & GDPR for how these interact with the free plugin’s defaults.

Extended CSV export

Pro doesn’t ship a second exporter — it adds columns to the free one at UTM Manager → Tools:

  • one column per configured custom parameter — listed in the field picker under the label you gave it,
  • Country, Device, Browser, Operating System,
  • Revenue — the lifetime WooCommerce order total attributed to that lead.

Everything else about the export works the same way, including the batching and spreadsheet-safety behavior described on CSV Export.
