UTM Manager Pro needs a valid license key to unlock its features and receive automatic updates.
Installing the Pro add-on
Pro is a separate plugin that runs alongside the free one — keep UTM Manager installed and active.
- Download the UTM Manager Pro ZIP from your account at beautifulplugins.com.
- In wp-admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Choose the ZIP, click Install Now, then Activate.
If the free plugin isn’t active, WordPress will tell you: Pro declares UTM Manager as a required plugin and won’t do anything without it.
Activating your license
The license lives on the Plugins screen rather than in a settings tab:
- Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins.
- Find UTM Manager Pro and click the License link in its row of action links.
- A row opens beneath the plugin with a key field. Paste your license key.
- Click Activate.
The row then shows License is valid, and every Pro feature switches on immediately — Reports appears in the menu, the Pro settings tabs appear, and the integrations start listening.
While the license is missing, expired, or invalid, Pro stays dormant. Your free plugin keeps tracking normally and no data is lost — activating later brings the Pro features online against the leads you’ve already collected.
The other license buttons
- Check License — re-queries the store and refreshes the status shown. Use it after renewing.
- Deactivate — releases the activation from this site so you can use the key elsewhere. Do this before migrating or deleting a site, otherwise the seat stays consumed.
The status is also re-checked automatically as part of WordPress’s regular update checks, so an expired or renewed license is reflected without you doing anything.
Automatic updates
Once the license is valid, UTM Manager Pro updates like any other plugin — new versions appear under Dashboard → Updates and on the Plugins screen. Without a valid license you’ll receive no update notifications, which is the usual reason a site sits on an old Pro version.
Moving a license to another site
- On the old site: Plugins → UTM Manager Pro → License → Deactivate.
- On the new site: install Pro, then paste the same key and click Activate.
Staging and development copies count as activations too — deactivate the license on a staging site you’re finished with rather than deleting it outright.
Troubleshooting
"Please activate your license."
No key has been saved yet, or the key was cleared. Paste the key and click Activate.
"License is expired."
Renew from your account at beautifulplugins.com, then click Check License to refresh the status. Pro features stay off until the status is valid again; your data is untouched throughout.
Activation fails or times out.
Your site must be able to reach beautifulplugins.com over HTTPS. A firewall, an offline/staging environment, or a security plugin blocking outgoing requests will stop activation. Test with another outbound request (for example, WordPress’s own update check) to confirm.
The activation limit is reached.
Each license covers a set number of sites. Deactivate the key on a site you no longer use, or upgrade your plan.
Pro features still don’t appear after activating.
Confirm the free UTM Manager plugin is active — Pro boots on a hook the free plugin fires, so it silently does nothing when the free plugin is deactivated. Then reload the admin: Reports should be visible under the UTM Manager menu.
Still stuck? Open a support ticket with your license key’s associated email, your site URL, and the exact message shown in the license row.
