What is proxy bidding?

Bidders enter the most they are willing to pay, and the store bids for them one increment at a time, only as much as needed to keep them in the lead. eBay works the same way. It keeps bidders engaged and pushes final prices up.

What stops last-second sniping?

Anti-sniping extends the auction when a bid arrives in the closing window, for example 5 extra minutes for any bid in the last 5 minutes. Everyone gets a fair chance to respond.

What if the winner does not pay?

Set a payment deadline and the winner gets automatic reminders. When the deadline passes, Bidra can offer the item to the next highest bidder or relist it automatically.
