Connect your store and Send Emails becomes revenue-aware: customers sync into your contact list with their purchase history, store events trigger automations, campaigns can target customers (or deliberately exclude them), and the dashboard shows how much revenue your emails actually drive.
Both integrations live on the Send Emails → Integrations screen and are opt-in — nothing syncs until you enable them.
Customer sync
With the integration enabled, each paid order (WooCommerce processing/completed, EDD complete) syncs its customer to a contact. Each order is processed exactly once. The contact stores purchase aggregates that update with every order:
- Total spent
- Order count
- Last order date
- Purchased product IDs
The same no-duplicates rules apply as everywhere else: an existing contact is updated, empty profile fields are filled from the order’s billing details, and an unsubscribed customer is never resubscribed by a purchase.
Purchase automation triggers
Three store triggers become available in Automations:
- Order placed — fires on every paid order. Use it for thank-you notes and lifecycle tagging.
- First purchase — fires only on a customer’s first-ever order. The natural start of an onboarding sequence.
- Product purchased — fires when a specific product (by ID) is bought. Perfect for product-specific onboarding, cross-sells, or course welcome emails.
Example: First purchase → send thank-you → wait 7 days → send “getting the most out of it” → add tag customer.
Campaign purchase filters
When building a campaign, you can filter recipients to:
- Customers only — contacts with at least one recorded order. New-product announcements, review requests, loyalty offers.
- Non-customers only — subscribers who have never bought. First-purchase discounts and win-over content, without discounting to people who already paid full price.
Email-attributed revenue
With click tracking enabled, Send Emails attributes store revenue to your emails: when a contact clicks a tracked link and places an order within 7 days, that order’s total counts toward the Attributed revenue tile on the Dashboard. It’s a straightforward last-touch model that finally answers “is this newsletter worth writing?” (developers can adjust the window via the sende_attribution_window filter).
Going further with Pro
Deep store features — abandoned-cart triggers, coupon generation, post-purchase flows, lifetime-value segments — are on the Send Emails Pro roadmap. Today’s Pro already adds reliable delivery via SMTP & sending services, which matters double for order-driven email.
