License Activation (Pro)

Send Emails Pro is an add-on plugin: it extends the free plugin through its extension points rather than replacing it. This page covers installing Pro and activating your license so features unlock and automatic updates flow.

Requirements

  • The free Send Emails plugin, version 2.5.0 or later, installed and active. Pro shows a notice and stays dormant without it.
  • WordPress 6.5+ and PHP 7.4+ (same as the free plugin).
  • Your license key from the purchase receipt email or your BeautifulPlugins account.

Installing Send Emails Pro

  1. Download send-emails-pro.zip from your purchase receipt or account page.
  2. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, and click Install Now.
  3. Click Activate.

Activating your license

  1. Go to Plugins in your WordPress admin and find Send Emails Pro.
  2. Click the License link in the plugin’s row.
  3. Paste your license key and click Activate.

Once the key validates you’ll see the license status as active, Pro features load on the next page view, and update notifications for Pro appear on the Plugins screen like any other plugin. The Upgrade button in the free plugin’s header disappears too.

Defining the key in wp-config (agencies)

For deployments and staging environments, you can define the license key in code instead of the UI:

define( 'SENDEMAILS_PRO_LICENSE_KEY', 'your-license-key-here' );

Add it to wp-config.php above the “That’s all, stop editing!” line. This is handy for provisioning scripts and keeps the key out of the database.

Moving a license to another site

Licenses are limited to the number of sites in your plan. To free up a slot, open the License link on the old site and click Deactivate before activating on the new one. If the old site no longer exists, deactivate the site from your BeautifulPlugins account page.

Troubleshooting

  • “License not valid” — check for stray spaces around the pasted key, and confirm the license hasn’t expired or run out of site activations in your account.
  • Pro features don’t appear — confirm the free plugin is active and at least version 2.5.0; Pro deliberately no-ops until the dependency and a valid license are both satisfied.
  • No update notifications — updates require an active license. Re-check the license status on the Plugins screen; visiting Dashboard → Updates and clicking Check again forces a fresh check.
