Editor Integration

Beyond campaigns and instant generation, AI Content Writer puts an AI assistant inside the editors you already write in — both the block editor and the classic (TinyMCE) editor.

Block editor assistant

In the block editor, the AI Content Writer panel lets you:

  • Generate — describe a topic, choose a tone, length, and language, and insert a paragraph or a full article (with markdown headings converted to proper blocks).
  • Modify — select existing text and have the AI rewrite it with your instructions: shorten it, change the tone, translate it, fix it.

Both surfaces — the sidebar panel (full-post generation) and the AI button in a block’s toolbar — share the same controls, so ToneLength, and Language are available wherever you generate. Language offers all 23 supported languages and defaults to Default, which leaves the choice to the model and matches how the plugin behaved before.

Generation uses the provider and model configured under Settings → General → API Model and Settings → API Settings.

Classic editor — the AI Writer button

Sites on the classic editor get the same power via an AI Writer button that appears next to Add Media above every classic editor. Clicking it opens a modal with:

  • Write new content — topic/keywords, additional instructions, tone, length, and language (all 23 supported languages). The result previews in the modal; click Insert to place it at your cursor.
  • Rewrite selected text — select text in the editor first (Visual or Text mode), open the modal, choose Rewrite, and describe how it should change.

The button works in both the Visual and Text tabs, and inserts through WordPress’s native editor bridge — so it lands wherever your cursor is.

Elementor

The AI Writer button also works inside Elementor’s Text Editor widget. Add or select a Text Editor widget, click AI Writer above the editor, and generate or rewrite content just like on the classic editor — the result is inserted into the widget and the Elementor preview updates immediately. The modal is styled to match the Elementor panel.

WooCommerce product descriptions

WooCommerce product screens use the classic editor for the product description and short description fields — and the AI Writer button appears on both. Generate a full product description from the product name and a few keywords, or select thin existing copy and have it rewritten in your brand’s tone. No extra configuration needed: if WooCommerce is active and your AI provider is connected, the button is there.

Requirements & tips

  • The editor tools require a configured AI provider — the modal tells you (with a settings link) if no API key is saved yet.
  • The block editor assistant and the AI Writer modal both offer the same tone, length, and language controls, so you get identical output whichever editor you write in.
  • Editor generations are single-shot content tools — they don’t create SEO meta or taxonomy the way Instant Generation and Campaigns do, because you’re editing an existing post that already has its own.
