Automation you can’t observe is automation you can’t trust. AI Content Writer surfaces what every campaign is doing at three levels.
The Dashboard
AI Content Writer → Dashboard shows your content statistics at a glance — posts generated over time on an interactive chart, plus plugin shortcuts and feature overviews.
Campaign health at a glance
The Campaigns list includes two live columns:
- Progress — a bar showing published posts against the campaign target, plus how many posts are currently in progress.
- Activity — when the campaign last ran, when it will run next, and a View logs link that jumps straight to that campaign’s log entries.
On a campaign’s edit screen, every in-flight post shows its own progress bar (title → content → image), and completed posts are listed in the sidebar.
The activity log
AI Content Writer → Logs records every meaningful event with a timestamp and severity:
- Success — titles created, content generated, thumbnails attached, posts published.
- Info — pipeline notices such as drip-scheduling times (Pro).
- Warning — posts held by the SEO score gate (Pro), deleted unusable temp posts.
- Error — API failures with the provider’s exact error message, image download failures, campaign problems, and misconfiguration notices (a provider or image source with no valid API key).
When a campaign misbehaves, this is the first place to look — the provider’s real error message (invalid key, quota exhausted, model unavailable) is logged verbatim.
Nothing in the log at all? Then the campaign hasn’t run yet rather than failed. A campaign’s first run is one full interval after you save it, so check the Activity column for its next run time, or press Run Campaign to start one now.
Filtering by campaign
Click View logs on any campaign row (or add &campaign_id=123 to the Logs URL) to see only that campaign’s entries — invaluable when several campaigns run side by side.
Log retention
Logs are cleaned up automatically. Set the retention period under Settings → General → Log Retention — from 1 day to a year, or Keep Forever. A daily background task deletes anything older.
