SEO isn’t an afterthought in AI Content Writer — it’s built into every article the plugin generates. This page explains what SEO data is created and where it goes.
Every article arrives SEO-complete
The AI is asked for structured data, not loose text. Alongside the article body, every generation returns:
| Field | What happens with it |
|---|---|
| SEO title (≤60 chars) | Written into your SEO plugin’s title field |
| Meta description (≤160 chars) | Written into your SEO plugin’s description field |
| Focus keyword | Written into your SEO plugin’s focus keyword field |
| URL slug | Applied as the post’s permalink slug — short, keyword-based, clean |
| Excerpt | Saved as the post excerpt (also the meta-description fallback) |
| Suggested categories | Matched against your existing categories (never invents new ones) |
| Suggested tags | Added to the post (merged with the campaign’s own tags) |
The article body itself is generated with proper structure — H2/H3 heading hierarchy, lists, and concise paragraphs — so it reads well and ranks well.
Supported SEO plugins
When one of these is active, the SEO data is written natively into its own fields — it appears in the plugin’s metabox exactly as if you’d typed it:
- Yoast SEO
- Rank Math
- All in One SEO (written through AIOSEO’s official API)
- SEOPress
Check AI Content Writer → Settings → General → SEO Integration to see which plugin was detected — a green check confirms data will flow to it.
No SEO plugin? The fallback has you covered
Without a supported SEO plugin, the SEO data stays stored with each post, and the plugin outputs a basic <meta name="description"> tag on generated posts’ pages. This fallback:
- is on by default and can be toggled under Settings → General;
- automatically silences itself the moment a supported SEO plugin is activated — tags are never emitted twice;
- means the stored data starts flowing into your SEO plugin as soon as you install one (for posts published after that point).
Per-campaign control
Each campaign has a Write SEO Meta checkbox (on by default). Untick it for campaigns where you want to manage SEO by hand.
