Delivery Manager Pro is an add-on that extends the free plugin (v1.2.0+ required, both plugins active, plus a valid license key). Here’s everything it unlocks.
Custom delivery statuses
Replace the free plugin’s two checkboxes with your own workflow. Eight statuses are seeded on activation — Assigned → Picked Up → Out for Delivery → Delivered, plus Failed Attempt, Rescheduled, Returned to Store and Delivery Cancelled — and all of them are editable.
Each status carries an icon, a colour, a customer-facing description, a Counts as group that drives the driver tabs and the reports, a Timeline step flag, customer and admin notification switches, and an optional WooCommerce order status to set when it’s reached. Add your own, reorder by dragging, and delete the ones you don’t use.
The free out for delivery and delivered flags are kept in sync at all times, so nothing breaks if Pro is ever deactivated. Full detail on Delivery Statuses.
Expected delivery dates and time slots
A default lead time replaces the free plugin’s hard-coded “order date + 7 days”, and each order gets its own Expected delivery date and Time slot fields in the metabox. The end of the slot is what the on-time rate is measured against.
Dispatch board
WooCommerce → Delivery Dispatch puts unassigned orders in one lane and every driver in their own, with on-duty indicators and live load counts. Assign, reassign, unassign, ⚡ Auto-assign one order or Auto-assign all.
Orders list integration
A Delivery column (driver + status badge) on both HPOS and legacy order screens, filters by delivery person and delivery status, a Assign delivery person bulk action, and inline quick assign without leaving the list. See Assigning Deliveries.
Zones and automatic assignment
Define zones by postcode (with 12* wildcards and 1000-1999 ranges), city, state, country or a WooCommerce shipping zone, give them a priority, and attach drivers to each. Then let orders assign themselves on your chosen trigger status using round robin or least loaded, honouring each driver’s on-duty toggle and capacity. See Zones & Automatic Assignment.
Proof of delivery
Photo, on-screen signature and recipient name — each Disabled, Optional or Required. Captured by the driver on their phone, stored in the media library and hidden from anyone who can’t manage WooCommerce. Uploads are capped at 8 MB and restricted to images. Customers see only the recipient-name summary, and only if you allow it. See Proof of Delivery.
Location stamps and the delivery log
Optionally capture the driver’s browser location with each status change (shown as a plain map link, no Maps API key). Every assignment, reassignment, status change, note, ETA change, location stamp and proof capture is written to an append-only log table with who, when and from where — the audit trail behind the timeline and the reports.
Delivery notes
Internal or customer-visible notes, added from the order metabox or from the driver’s phone, optionally required on failed and returned deliveries, and mirrored into the WooCommerce order notes for a single audit trail. See Delivery Notes.
The driver app
The My Account Deliveries page becomes a mobile-first interface: Today / Active / Completed / Failed tabs, search, an on-duty toggle, today’s stats, delivery cards with Navigate / Call / WhatsApp deep links, a status dialog that collects the note and proof of delivery, and working pagination. See Delivery Persons.
Notification emails
Six real WC_Email classes managed under WooCommerce → Settings → Emails: Delivery assigned (to the driver), Out for delivery, Delivered, Delivery failed, Delivery status update and an admin alert. Eleven placeholders, theme-overridable HTML and plain-text templates, and an optional Delivery block appended to the standard WooCommerce customer order emails. The dmanp_notification action is the hook point for SMS and push add-ons.
Signed webhooks
POST assigned, status_changed, delivered, failed and note_added to any number of endpoints — Zapier, Make, n8n or your own. HMAC-SHA256 signatures, up to 3 attempts with backoff, a Send test webhook button, and a log of the last 50 attempts. See Notifications & Webhooks.
Public tracking page
[dmanp_track_order] on any page lets customers track with their order number plus email or phone. Links in Pro emails carry a private per-order token and skip the form entirely. Manual lookups are rate-limited. See Tracking Page.
Redesigned customer timeline
Pro swaps in its own timeline template (unless your theme overrides it): your statuses with their icons, colours and descriptions, the real expected delivery, public notes under the matching step, the proof-of-delivery summary, and your own accent colour — each element individually switchable.
Delivery reports
WooCommerce → Delivery Reports: a date range and per-driver filter, summary tiles (assigned, delivered, failed, in progress, on-time rate, average assigned → delivered and out-for-delivery → delivered), a deliveries-per-day chart, a status-change breakdown, a driver leaderboard and a zone breakdown — plus CSV export of the delivery log. Delivery person profiles
Phone, vehicle, an On duty toggle, Max active deliveries capacity and zone assignments, all on the user’s profile screen — and the on-duty toggle is also in the driver’s own My Account dashboard.
Licensing and auto-updates
Activate your key from the plugin row on the Plugins screen and Pro updates arrive like any other plugin. See License Activation.
On the roadmap
Not in 1.0.0, but planned: a dmanp/v1 REST API for a mobile app, Twilio SMS and WhatsApp, live map tracking, status transition rules, a daily digest email for drivers, route optimisation, a delivery-slot field at checkout, WooCommerce Analytics integration and multiple drivers per order.
