Both plugins declare compatibility with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) and Cart & Checkout Blocks, so you can leave either feature on.
The plugin does nothing until WooCommerce is loaded. If WooCommerce is inactive, Delivery Manager stays dormant rather than erroring.
Installing the free plugin
From your dashboard (recommended):
- Go to Plugins → Add New.
- Search for “Delivery Manager for WooCommerce”.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
Manual upload:
- Download the ZIP from WordPress.org.
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, and click Install Now.
- Activate the plugin.
Activation flushes your rewrite rules so the My Account delivery endpoints work immediately, and the Delivery Person user role is registered on the next page load. You’ll find the settings at WooCommerce → Delivery Manager.
Installing Delivery Manager Pro
The Pro add-on extends the free plugin — you need both active:
- Make sure the free Delivery Manager for WooCommerce plugin (v1.2.0 or later) and WooCommerce are installed and active. Pro shows an admin notice and stays inactive if either is missing or too old.
- Download the Pro ZIP from your BeautifulPlugins account.
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload the ZIP, and activate it.
- Activate your license on the Plugins screen to unlock the Pro features and automatic updates.
Activating Pro creates its two database tables (the delivery log and zones), seeds the eight default delivery statuses, and schedules its daily maintenance task. The settings page at WooCommerce → Delivery Manager gains tabs, and two submenu pages appear: Delivery Dispatch and Delivery Reports.
Until the license is active, Pro shows only the license UI. All of its features stay switched off, and the free plugin continues to work exactly as before.
Updating
The free plugin updates through WordPress.org like any other plugin. Pro updates appear on your Plugins screen once your license is active. Keep both on their latest versions — Pro 1.0.0 requires free 1.2.0 or later.
Uninstalling
Deactivating either plugin is safe: all order data is kept and nothing is deleted.
Deleting the free plugin removes the Delivery Person role and the plugin’s own options. Deleting Pro drops its two tables, deletes its dmanp_* options and user meta, and clears its scheduled task — but the delivery data stored on your orders is kept, exactly as the free plugin behaves.
